Senior Electrical Engineer
Selectek has partnered with a growing design engineering firm that is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in the design of data centers. Job duties include:
- Leading the development of design solutions
- Providing technical design support to the design team
- Preparing schematic designs, construction documents, and specifications in compliance with project program and building design
- Coordinating designs with other disciplines, manufacturers, and vendors
- Performing field surveys and observations
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 15 years minimum work experience
- Licensed engineer, NCEES accredited
- Experience in design of MV (34.5 kV) power distribution systems
- General understanding of HV design power distribution
- Strong background on conductors, conduits, and ground sizing per NEC requirements
- Strong understanding of load calculations, demand factors, fault current, and voltage drop calculations
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit required
- Experience preparing arc flash and breaker coordination analysis
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Mastery of the model codes with specific focus on NFPA codes
