Position Title: Procurement Engineer
Location: Peachtree Corners, GA (Hybrid)
Responsibilities- Early Procurement Involvement:
Engage in preliminary development, collaborate with R&D engineers and commodity managers to meet cost targets, represent Strategic Procurement in project meetings, push forward cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, etc.). - Early Supplier Integration:
Include suppliers in workshops, conduct cost‑benefit analyses, optimize material costs through Design to Cost, review material cost targets. - Analysis:
Perform market observation, provide market information/analyses on international technology and price trends to obtain new suppliers and new technologies. - Alignment of Technology Roadmaps:
Introduce and follow up procurement strategies to link commodity strategies and technological market trends. - Strategy Alignment & Deployment:
Support business line activities, harmonize technological lines‑of‑business strategies with procurement strategies, drive sourcing decisions with interface partners. - Business Support:
Provide support for projects in lines of business, supply input for quotes, workshops, Bill of Materials assessment, realize potential savings. - Supplier Management:
Assess and develop suppliers tech‑wise (jointly with interface partners) to focus on best suppliers. - Knowledge Management:
Participate in work groups and projects to stay informed and influence early stages. - Risk Mitigation:
Apply preventive methods, design and maintain improvements based on supplier categorization. - Supplier Integration:
Coordinate product/service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements/specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of procurement and supply chain management experience including R&D, manufacturing, procurement, finance and supplier interfacing.
- 3+ years of industry experience within a mechanical/electrical/electronic component manufacturing business.
- Ability to travel 20%.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Master’s degree.
- Project management knowledge and execution leadership experience.
- Professional certifications in Supply Chain Management or Project Management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical skills and judgment.
- Self‑determined, goal‑oriented, proactive team player with ownership and presentation skills.

Pay range: $91,463 - $156,794. Actual wages may vary based on budget, experience, skills, qualifications and geographic location.
