UST is searching for an Associate Data Analyst who will extract, clean and validate data from multiple source systems to support analysis and reporting needs.

• Perform data profiling, trend analysis and ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions.
• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using standard BI tools.
• Translate business requirements into data queries, metric definitions and report specifications.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues, escalating complex discrepancies to the lead.
• Document data sources, business logic, report definitions and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, data engineers and senior analysts on delivery of analytics work.
• Support junior analysts with queries on tools, data sources and reporting standards.
• Adhere to client data security, privacy and compliance standards (including HIPAA/PHI handling where applicable).

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or reporting. Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
• Practical experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or SAS reporting.
• Working knowledge of Excel (advanced functions, pivots) and basic scripting in Python or R.
• Understanding of relational databases, data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work with client stakeholders.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA and available to work from the client location.
• Preferred / Value-Add Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) or modern data stacks (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Familiarity with US healthcare / payer domain data.
• Relevant certification in Tableau, Power BI or SQL.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

$54,000-$81,000

• Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits.
• Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
