Partners Personnel is seeking an experienced Electric Motor Service Technician to join a growing team! If you have experience repairing electric motors and electro-mechanical equipment and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Job Title:
Electric Motor Service Technician
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Pay rate: $18.00/hr.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, replace, repair, and modify mechanical and electromechanical motor assemblies.
- Repair and replace bearings, terminal blocks, lugs, seals, leads, capacitors, switches, encoders, thermal protection sensors, grounding rings, space heaters, fans, junction boxes, and other motor components.
- Perform motor inspections to identify damage or equipment malfunctions.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and communicate findings with customers.
- Create and engrave motor nameplate data using manual and computer-based engraving equipment.
- Maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and shop materials.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and maintain shop tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
- Assist other technicians and service personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience repairing electric motors or electro-mechanical equipment in an EASA or motor repair shop.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Electrical-related degree, vocational training, or coursework preferred.
- Proficient with mechanical hand tools, power tools, painting, soldering, and forklift operation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
