Finance Operations Manager

Matheny Medical and Educational Center seeks a Finance Operations Manager to lead financial operations supporting our specialized hospital and school. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle, grant and program reporting, and month-end close. The manager will optimize financial processes, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and provide decision-support to clinical, educational, and residential leaders. Partnering closely with interdisciplinary teams, this position drives financial transparency and resource stewardship to sustain high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with complex developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial operations for hospital and school programs
• Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Oversee revenue cycle, billing, and collections processes
• Support month-end close, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, payer, and grant requirements
• Optimize financial workflows and internal controls
• Provide financial analysis and decision support to program leaders
• Coordinate with clinical, educational, and residential teams on resource planning
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and key performance metrics
• Partner with leadership on strategic financial planning and cost optimization
