O&M Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible to assure project delivery, leading O&M Requirements Management across the overall Project Lifecycle, coordinating documentation and training, ensuring interface management between Design & Build and O&M, and returning experience to Product Engineering.
• Provide monitoring, oversight, and technical support of Telecommunication and network system equipment per wiring diagrams, schematics, and O&M manuals.
• Observe and monitor system components to detect potential failures and locate causes of malfunction.
• Support and act as subject matter expert to field technicians during troubleshooting, identification, and resolution of system and subsystem issues.
• Conduct and provide monthly Failure Reporting and Corrective Action analysis against signaling and telecommunications subsystems.
• Maintain physical hardware and software configuration management of signaling and telecommunication systems via the Maintenance Management Information System.
• Conduct physical configuration audits of the system.
• Analyze log files to troubleshoot issues and provide required corrective action and improvement.
• Interface with other subsystem engineers in remediation of complex multi‑discipline problems.
• Support on‑site spare parts management and repair cycle while tracking and trending spare parts usage rate.
• Ensure subsystem conformance and compliance with project technical specifications and tolerances.
• Act as primary point‑of‑contact during signaling and telecommunications change management activities.

• Knowledge of Rolling Stock Systems, components, and testing equipment.
• 2 to 5+ years of field experience.
• Working knowledge of Rail Transit Signaling Systems:
  Automatic Train Control, Communication Base Train Control, Positive Train Control.
• Ability to use common and specialized tools and test equipment.
• Team player with strong analytical mind; able to work independently and in team environment with minimal supervision.

• Experience in Maintenance Management Information Systems (MMIS).
• Basic working knowledge of Rail Transit Subsystems:
  Automatic Train Supervision, Vehicle, Telecommunication, Platform Screen Gates, Traction Electrification, SCADA, CCTV, Radios, GPS, etc.
• Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting faults on ATC equipment.
• Basic understanding of software configuration management.
• Basic understanding of software programming logic.
• Basic working knowledge of Linux or UNIX operating system.
• Understanding of Operation and Maintenance Processes.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure during intense periods of activity.
• Demonstrate practical knowledge and problem‑solving strategies.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, able to handle multiple priorities.

Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Computer Science, or related discipline.

English Proficiency.

$93,000 - $139,500, final pay determined by experience, skillset, and ability level.
