What You Will DoGeneral duties include but are not limited to:
- Designing structures such as reservoirs, retaining walls, bridges, culverts, tunnels, pipelines, sewers, sidewalks, highways, etc.
- Preparing designs, plans, specifications, estimates, and reports.
- Supervising construction and inspection activities.
- Reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications of buildings and structures.

Minimum Qualification RequirementsAt the time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non‑citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
Education RequirementEquivalent to graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.
Experience RequirementThree years of non‑registered professional civil engineering experience.
License Requirement- Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license, as required.
- Possession of a valid license as a professional Civil Engineer in the State of Hawaii.
NOTE:
Applicants with a current out-of-state professional Civil Engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
