This role supervises a group of securities examiners who process and examine applications for securities registration, broker-dealers, investment advisers, and franchises while conducting compliance audits to ensure adherence to state and federal securities laws. The position is located in the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs on the Island of Oahu.
Key qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with six semester credits in accounting and/or auditing
- Three and one-half years of progressively responsible professional work experience in business analysis, business management, or program administration with knowledge of securities laws and regulation
- Ability to plan, supervise and review securities examiner activities and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Ability to read, understand and apply complex written material including federal laws, regulations and State of Hawaii rules
- Demonstrated supervisory aptitude through leadership experience, training, or favorable performance appraisals
