Duties
  • You will perform cyberspace threat analysis by developing cyberspace indicators to maintain awareness of the status of the highly dynamic operating environment.
  • You will architect and direct information from various sources including security logs, internal network traffic, deep/dark web forums, and commercial threat intelligence feeds.
  • You will collect, process, and disseminate cyberspace threat and warning assessments.
  • You will provide tipping and queuing from a variety of sources and disciplines including Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and public resources.
  • You will assess the effectiveness of collections in satisfying priority information gaps, using available capabilities and methods, and then adjust collection strategies and collection requirements accordingly.
  • You will monitor operational environment and report on adversarial activities which fulfill leadership’s priority intelligence requirements (PIR).
Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • Travel required for contingency/exercise support, briefings, conferences, and trainings.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • Must meet qualification requirements of the specialty area assigned as delineated in Appendix 4 of SECNAV 5239.2; see Additional Information section.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as :
