Job Description:

Location: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (On-site)

Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.

We are seeking candidates for multiple Network Engineer openings at various experience levels. This position supports a key government customer, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), by providing capabilities and services in a 24x7 Global Operations Center. The role involves supporting the global information grid, which is essential for national security organizations. This is a 9-month opportunity.

• Execute network operations, including configuration and analysis of customer circuits across optical and electro-optical multiplexers, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external customers, and government agencies to ensure maximum network availability.
• Proactively monitor network alarms using platform-specific network management tools.
• Perform a variety of change management tasks, including hardware replacement and software configurations.
• Utilize incident management applications like JIRA to document all aspects of reported outages, degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions.
• Assess, identify, and recommend resolutions for various network incidents leveraging knowledge in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, optical transport network, MPLS, time division multiplexing, and SDH/SONET.

Experience:

• Level 1: 4+ years of applicable experience, OR an Associate’s degree and 2+ years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree.
• Level 2: 6+ years of applicable experience, OR an Associate’s degree and 4+ years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Level 3: 8+ years of applicable experience, OR an Associate’s degree and 6+ years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.

• Must hold a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE) prior to starting.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift work environment, including day, swing, and mid shifts.
• Working knowledge of Transport and IP network topologies.
• Experience with network troubleshooting in a professional or military environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing systems such as Solar Winds and JIRA.

• Tech control facility or cyber transport experience.
• Experience with circuit actions and vendors.
• IP/Transport architecture experience.
• Experience in a telecommunications Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
• Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, or change management.
