NetOps Administrator

• Manage and monitor cloud networking solutions such as AWS VPC and Azure VNet
• Configure, sustain, and troubleshoot on-premises networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Set up, oversee, and maintain VPNs for secure remote access
• Monitor network performance and optimize for high availability and reliability
• Implement and oversee network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access controls
• Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalability assessments
• Execute network hardware and software upgrades and patches
• Maintain current network documentation, including diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and enhance network resources for applications and services
• Oversee network-related projects from planning through implementation and documentation
• Research emerging network technologies, trends, and best practices
• Work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Provide on-call after-hours rotational support as necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• IAT II certification
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering
• Proficiency in cloud networking solutions such as AWS VPC and Azure VNet
• Experience with on-premises networking hardware such as Cisco and Palo Alto
• Knowledge of networking protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as Solar Winds and Nagios
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices
• Experience with Elasticsearch Enterprise and Kibana dashboards
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Preferred: CCNP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or CompTIA Network+
• Preferred:
  Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network automation tools
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of F5 and NGINX technologies
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, and Power Shell
• Preferred:
  Experience with ITIL processes and practices
• Preferred:
  Experience using the Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, and Service Management

Demonstrates expertise in managing and optimizing cloud networking solutions, including AWS VPC and Azure VNet, while ensuring robust network security and performance. Proficient in troubleshooting on-premises networking hardware and implementing best practices for network documentation and project management.
