US Department of Defense - 250 Makalapa Drive - Responsibilities:
Serve as Staff Personnel Security Specialist responsible for all Personnel Security matters including evaluating sensitivity determination for each staff position;
Use the National Bureau Investigations System (NBIS) and Defense Information Security System (DISS) for U.S. Pacific Fleet staff members;
Manage U.S. Pacific Fleet Security Management Office code in DISS to manage staff member security clearances;
Conduct fingerprinting for staff members and prospective employees;
Provide recommendations to Security Director for denying, revoking, suspending or restricting security clearances and subsequent appeals;
Draft recommendations to policy based on command and fleet input into current or proposed personnel security systems
