The P IX WAIAU STATION MAINTENANCE Department of the P GENERATION Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has a Bargaining Unit vacancy available. (Role: Non-Exempt)
JOB FUNCTION:
- Maintains maintenance equipment and vehicles as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Services, overhauls, modifies, and repairs vehicles, maintenance equipment and gas or diesel internal combustion engines on such equipment as cranes, air compressors, finger lifts, power tools, etc.
- Services and renders proper maintenance to batteries.
- Maintains proper records for equipment.
- May repair hand power tools and other related equipment as required.
- Drives vehicles and equipment.
- Assume an emergency management role, as assigned, and perform specific assignments or functions, as needed, in an event of an emergency, not to include routine trouble calls/callouts.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs similar and incidental duties as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have or be able to qualify for a State of Hawaii driver's license.
- Must meet the standards for driving positions stated in the Hiring Standards for Driving Positions policy.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the maintenance and repair of internal combustion equipment.
