Job Description Summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service‑forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C and S Way, which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties.

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with the C and S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi‑truck, eighteen‑wheelers, box truck, etc.).
• Applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations to transport and safely deliver product.
• Loading and unloading (ambient or temperature‑sensitive) product for an average of 3‑10 stops per day.
• Inspecting, documenting, and ensuring equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Inspecting equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Department of Transportation physical exam.
• Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements.
• Enjoy working with people. Quality and customer‑service focused.
• Comply with FMCSR, DOT, and company policies and procedures.

• 1‑2 years:
  Minimum driving/delivering experience.
• 1‑2 years:
  Supporting a large enterprise storage environment.
• 1‑2 years:
  One year of recent applicable experience.
