Summary / Primary RoleThe Warehouse Operator I is responsible for safely handling the movement, storage, loading, unloading, and staging of freight within the warehouse. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and timely shipment processing while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
What You'll DoWe are looking for a motivated warehouse professional who enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in accuracy, teamwork, and safety. You'll play a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring freight is processed efficiently.
Freight Handling & Warehouse OperationsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.
Load, unload, stack, stage, and organize freight for shipment and storage.
Verify shipment quantities using manifests, bills of lading, and customer orders.
Inspect incoming and outgoing freight for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
Label, sort, and stage freight accurately for delivery.
Inventory & DocumentationMaintain accurate inventory records through routine counts and audits.
Complete shipping documentation, manifests, and inventory records accurately.
Research missing freight and report discrepancies with detailed documentation and photographs when necessary.
Conduct daily yard checks and maintain trailer inventory.
Safety & EquipmentPerform daily forklift pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and Hazardous Material procedures.
Assist with pre-loading delivery vehicles to support efficient dispatch operations.
