Miller Pipeline is seeking a Construction Assistant to support operational and project-related activities. This position is intended for students or new graduates in the field of construction management and provides developmental opportunities and leadership preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist General Foreman, Superintendent, and/or Project Manager with daily tasks.
  • Assist ops, assess jobsite readiness and project schedules.
  • Deliver work order packets to crews, walk job with them, answer pre-job questions.
  • Receive, manage completed work order packet documentation.
  • Enter completed work order packet data into customer’s online portal.
  • Manage 811 locate tickets.
  • Assist preparation of completion reports from WINS input weekly.
  • Confirm quantities, receive, and code subcontractor/vendor invoices for job costing in AS400.
  • Assist in management of all material orders.
  • Maintain inventory of all supplies for the business.
  • Assist preparation and maintenance of subcontractor agreements.
  • Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding steps, facilitate new hire orientation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Associate’s degree in construction management or related field, working toward a bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years related experience in the construction industry, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer-oriented; sense of urgency to resolve immediate issues.
  • Clear written and oral communication.
  • Excellent time management and ability to create systems to complete/track tasks.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field from accredited university.
