AJ Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Parts & Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance facility and manage the inventory and procurement of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to keep our construction operations running efficiently.

This is a leadership position for someone who is highly organized, mechanically knowledgeable, and capable of coordinating maintenance activities while ensuring our shop operates at a high level.

Competitive salary based on experience

• Manage the daily operations of the company maintenance shop
• Supervise mechanics and prioritize repair schedules
• Coordinate preventative maintenance for the company’s fleet
• Manage inventory of:
• Heavy equipment parts
• Truck and trailer parts
• Asphalt plant parts
• Aggregate plant parts
• Tires, filters, oils, lubricants, and shop supplies
• Welding, safety, and maintenance supplies
• Order parts and supplies while maintaining proper inventory levels
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when possible
• Receive, organize, and track incoming inventory
• Maintain accurate inventory records and control costs
• Coordinate equipment repairs to minimize downtime
• Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Work closely with management, project managers, and field personnel to support daily operations

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment, trucking, or construction maintenance
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel trucks, trailers, and asphalt construction equipment
• Experience with inventory control and purchasing
• Strong computer skills and the ability to manage inventory software
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
