Position Overview
Responsibilities- Second-level supervisory position accountable for overseeing first-line supervisors of social service activities of a facility or program.
- Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
- Require employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.
- Participates in developing procedures and administrative policies and administering program budget.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university in social work, social services, psychology, educational psychology, sociology, nursing, criminal justice, counseling, marriage and family therapy, family studies, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
- Appointing authority may require a master’s degree and/or social worker’s license.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance (to be verified by the hiring agency).
