Teach the assigned classes of students in the clinical setting according to the overall goals and objectives of the program, advancing the students’ knowledge of the subject matter.

Adhere to clinical schedule. Evaluate and provide student feedback according to guidelines. Communicate with program directors/dean. Comply with policy and procedures of Hinds Community College and clinical agency. Complete all required clinical agency training.

This is a part‑time clinical adjunct position. Pay is hourly. Hours vary based on program needs. Typically, clinical is two (2) days per week– Mon/Tues or Wed/Thurs or Sat/Sun. Must be willing to work all scheduled clinical days to be considered for position.

• Associates degree in Nursing and a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse. Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
• BSN or Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered registered nurse license to practice in Mississippi.
• Passes a criminal history background check, drug screen, and other clinical requirements.

• Teach the assigned clinical classes according to program goals and objectives.
• Adhere to clinical schedules and attend all scheduled clinical days.
• Evaluate and provide timely feedback to students according to guidelines.
• Communicate with program directors and dean.
• Comply with all Hinds Community College policies, procedures, and clinical agency requirements.
• Complete all required clinical agency training.

• Maintain current professional credentials and certifications as required.
• Cooperate in the execution of college, center, division, and program policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Implement teaching strategies that engage learners in active learning and utilize technology in clinical teaching.
• Complete required professional development activities by designated deadlines.
• Demonstrate fairness in assessment and evaluation of students.
• Collaborate with others to improve educational experiences and participate in program assessment and evaluation.
• Work contractual scheduled hours according to program needs and meet all assigned clinical hours/days.
• Arrive on time, stay for assigned length of time, and report unplanned tardiness or absences in a timely manner.
• Check College e‑mail daily during the work week and respond in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
