Registered Nurse; RN PRN – Med-Surg​/ICU – Nights

Reports To: Nurse Manager

George Regional Health System is seeking a flexible and dependable PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to support both the Med-Surg and ICU units. This role provides high-quality, patient-centered care while assisting with staffing needs across departments.

We are especially seeking PRN nurses who are available to work during the weekday schedule, particularly Wednesdays and Thursdays
, to support coverage needs.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in Med-Surg and/or ICU settings
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered
• Assist with care of higher-acuity patients in ICU as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous Med-Surg and/or ICU experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred (required for ICU coverage or willingness to obtain)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs
• Flexible availability, with preference for weekday coverage
