Quality Assurance Technician
We are looking to add an experienced QA Tech to work at our TRADITIONS division in Pearl, MS. The Quality Assurance Tech will serve as the on the floor QA Tech, providing the eyes and ears for the QA Team while ensuring all tasks are completed. What you'll be doing:
- Conduct continuous weight checks on meals and meal components, documenting the results.
- Monitor and keep records of critical control points of our HACCP plan.
- Perform and keep records of metal detection, startup check line audits as well as pre-op and operational sanitation standards.
- Calibration of scales and thermometers.
- Promote and observe enforcement of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) in the facility.
- Comply with all FDA and USDA regulations and all legitimate requests of the USDA/FSIS inspectors.
- Continuously monitor food safety practices, visual quality standards, conformance to specifications, regulatory compliance, and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and document conformance to BOM's (Bill of Material), specifications, visual quality standards, and regulatory standards throughout the facility.
- Take appropriate corrective actions when a deviation or quality problem occurs.
- Follow Hold procedures when placing or removing product from hold.
- Collect samples of meals for microbiological analysis and product cuttings.
What we're looking for:
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks using time and task management skills.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Excellent attention to details and math aptitude.
- This position requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects that may weigh 30 to 50 pounds.
Compensation Range: $15.00-$18.00/hr.
