As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide high-quality preventive dental care while educating patients and supporting overall oral health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical oral hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling, sealants, fluoride treatments, and radiographs
- Perform comprehensive oral hygiene assessments using established clinical standards
- Accurately document patient care and treatments in dental records
- Educate patients on oral health, hygiene practices, and disease prevention
- Conduct oral hygiene classes and provide individualized patient counseling
- Support dental health education initiatives, including student or community presentations
- Perform procedures as delegated by the Dental Director in accordance with state regulations and protocols
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and clinical standards
- Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
- Support daily operational workflows within the dental department
- Perform additional duties as assigned within scope
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree)
- Active and current Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Strong attention to detail and clinical knowledge in dental hygiene practices
- Team-oriented mindset with adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced setting
- Professionalism and ability to handle sensitive patient situations
Preferred:
- Experience with Open Dental
