Primary Purpose
Evaluate and provide leadership for the curriculum & instructional department, implement instructional programs, and support effective teaching and learning across the district.
Qualifications Education- Master's degree
- Mid-Management Certificate or Principal Standard Certificate, preferred
- Certified in Texas Teacher Evaluation & Support System (T-TESS), preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction best practices
- Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Ability to implement policies and procedures
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
Three years campus administrative or instructional leadership experience, preferred.
Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental FactorsTools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district wide travel; occasional statewide travel and out-of-state travel
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
