As a Gas Turbine Mechanic, you are demonstrating strong technical capabilities and hands-on expertise in the overhaul and repair of gas turbine units. You are utilizing mechanical aptitude to interpret complex assembly drawings and perform precise measurements. You are working collaboratively under time-sensitive conditions to complete inspection, repair, and assembly tasks. You are supporting on-site activities when required and contributing to safety and quality excellence across all operations.
As a Gas Turbine Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating familiarity with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tooling.
- Accurately utilizing precision measuring equipment such as /OD micrometers, depth gauges, and calipers.
- Applying strong mechanical aptitude to independently understand and interpret complex machining and assembly drawings.
- Working as a team member to follow detailed work routers for the inspection and repair of turbine units and rotating equipment under tight timelines.
- Providing on-site support as needed based on operational requirements.
- Adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards throughout all maintenance and repair activities.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following platforms: GE10, PGT
10/PGT
25, Frame 3, or Frame 5. - Have flexibility to work both 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Have strong knowledge of HSE requirements and the ability to follow and update safety policies and procedures.
- Have experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
This position is full-time on-site at the Houston – Aldine Westfield location. Candidates must be flexible to work either shift:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
This position requires current work authorization in the country of employment. The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.
