- Grade C License - $2,500
- Grade B License - $3,500

Salary
: $24.07 to $26.05 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Certification pay is available for licenses higher than required for the position.

Functions
- Performs daily plant checks of the wastewater plants' mechanical, chemical, and electrical equipment operations.
- Runs daily process control sample testing using lab equipment onsite according to plant permit requirements; checks lab results and makes corrections.
- Turns on, monitors, and makes adjustments to equipment during the course of the day to maintain removal of solids in accordance with process procedures.
- Performs plant maintenance and makes repairs to any equipment that may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Reads operator's process control reports, logbooks, and lab sampling results.
- Troubleshoots and fixes problems at the wastewater facilities.
- Participates in plant inspections by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- High school graduation or GED equivalent, supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
- Four (4) years of wastewater operations or closely related experience.
- Wastewater Treatment Operator Class C License (required).
