This role offers the opportunity to influence deal strategy, collaborate with senior leaders, and deepen your expertise in complex credit.
Key Accountabilities
Underwrite and analyze new loan originations, renewals, modifications, and annual reviews.
Monitor loan performance, borrower financials, and market conditions to assess portfolio health and maintain accurate risk ratings.
Partner with Relationship Managers and Credit teams to structure deals that meet client needs while protecting the bank's interests.
Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations.
Participate in loan approval discussions and present credit recommendations as needed.
Contribute to portfolio management strategies, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and mitigate risk.
Mentor junior portfolio managers and support their professional development.
Represent Associated Bank at community and industry events to strengthen visibility and build relationships.
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate or Credit Approval
4+ years of experience handling complex credit relationships
Access to reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive self by start date
Preferred:
3+ years of experience in sales or business development
Formal credit training
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification
