This role supports multiple clinics, primarily based in Pearland, with potential travel to clinics in Pasadena, Sugarland, or Memorial. The position involves documenting physician visits in an EMR system, scribing, assisting with instruments when necessary, performing patient work-ups post-consultation, and effectively communicating with patients about procedures and treatments.
Responsibilities- Document physician visits in the EMR system accurately.
- Provide scribing support during consultations.
- Assist with medical instruments as requested by the physician.
- Conduct patient work-ups after doctor visits.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and treatment plans.
- Proficiency in medical assisting and terminology.
- Experience with EMR systems and scribing.
- Strong patient care skills.
- Knowledge in ophthalmology and medical documentation.
- Data entry and typing proficiency.
The role requires flexibility in supporting multiple clinics with no set days. Typically, the workweek is Monday through Friday, starting as early as 6:00 AM and concluding once the last patient leaves, usually around 6:30 PM, mainly on travel days. The environment is extremely fast-paced, with 80-100 patients seen daily. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, with short, groomed nails and hair tied back.
Payand Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
