JOB SUMMARY:

Perform an array of functions that include operating HEM and Cosen saws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1 - 3 years' experience operating a saw
1+ year experience operating forklifts a plus
Basic math skills
Knowledge of computer
High school diploma or GED certificate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up the saw machine, making adjustments for each job
Set stops or guides to specified lengths
Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues
Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy, mainly a measuring tape
Help pack and transport finished pieces using forklift
Accurately complete paperwork
Will cross-train and assist in other areas as needed and directed by supervisor
Attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
