2nd Shift Production Lead

Dover Precision Components ('DPC') is part of Dover Corporation's Pumps and Process solutions segment. DPC holds market‑leading positions globally and delivers performance‑critical solutions in the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical, and general processing markets. We design and manufacture mission‑critical equipment components to deliver more affordable, cleaner energy solutions and enable manufacturers to operate more efficiently.

Shift hours: 2:30 pm – 1:00 am, Monday–Thursday.

• Participate in all plant safety initiatives, report potentially unsafe conditions, and abide by corporate and local policies.
• Actively engage in lean manufacturing principles and techniques, including kaizen events and 5S activities, and continuously seek improvement in the work area.
• Work with the Production Supervisor and other Lead People to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, material, and labor to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Attend and contribute to shift hand‑off meetings.
• Work collaboratively with other departments—Supply Chain, Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering—to resolve issues.

• Run CNC machines, and work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to complete various machining operations.
• Obtain required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedures and perform inspections on work‑in‑progress.
• Complete and maintain all necessary records of time, part counts, first‑piece inspections, and requisition forms for each job.
• Provide guidance and training to lower‑level machinists.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, or other measuring tools.

• 8+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership experience.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Strong organizational skills; ensure 5S standards are met within respective areas of responsibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Walks, stands, reaches, and bends frequently.
• Periodic lifting of moderate to heavy items may be required; no more than 30 lbs.
• Possesses good hand/eye coordination.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, and hearing protection in required areas.
