Job Description

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician.

Bio Life Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. We collect high‑quality plasma that becomes life‑changing medicines for donors and patients worldwide.

You will assess donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory results, and communicate unsuitable test results. The role follows SOPs, supports EHS, and collaborates with the physician and medical affairs.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination
• Perform blood testing and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results
• Evaluate donor reactions and apply SOPs for medical emergencies
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for findings requiring intervention
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and determine necessity for occupational health evaluation
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate level in a recognized nursing program with state requirements
• State licensure:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current CPR and AED certification
• State-licensed basic IV therapy competency
• Completion of FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training
• Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience
