Overview
Texas Oncology is seeking an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pearland, Texas location. This Monday‑Friday position has no weekend or holiday shifts and no on‑call duties.
The role may be Level I, Level II, or Senior depending on the candidate’s experience. The position provides professional nursing care for oncology patients, including chemotherapy, radiation, and precision medicine therapies.

Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction and supervision, including all medications and blood products with proper dosage, route, and technique.
- Obtain necessary pre‑authorization and consent forms before administration of therapies.
- Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patient labs, consulting protocols or treatment plans, and coordinating with physicians regarding dosage adjustments, problem resolution, and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education (BSN preferred).
- RN state license and active registration with the state board of nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain required continuing education credits.
- Level I: Entry‑level or 0–3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Level II: Minimum 3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Senior: Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology; oncology certification preferred.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Standing and walking for extended periods. Lifts up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
