- Provide compassionate in‑home care to seniors and individuals with illnesses, injuries, chronic conditions, and disabilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, feeding, and nutritional support.
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and range‑of‑motion exercises.
- Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Check vital signs, monitor intake and output, and document care accurately.
- Follow individualized care plans while collaborating with nurses and the healthcare team.
- Provide care for patients with complex neurological and mobility conditions, including:
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Quadriplegia
- Spinal cord injuries
- Parkinson's disease
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- Assist with bowel programs and other specialized personal care needs while maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and safety.
- Safely utilize gait belts, Hoyer lifts, transfer devices such as sliding boards, and proper body mechanics when assisting patients.
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional caregiving or CNA experience required. Home health experience preferred.
- Active Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Experience caring for patients with neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, bowel programs, and complex mobility needs is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification.
- Valid Texas driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- Compassionate nature, good communicator, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
