This travel nursing role places a Psychiatric Unit Nurse Manager in Pearland, TX for a 26-week assignment. The position offers 13% above market pay and comprehensive benefits. It requires leadership of psychiatric nursing staff and strong crisis intervention skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead nursing staff on the psychiatric unit to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, licensing regulations, and safety standards
- Document and report any issues or incidents to appropriate management promptly
- Execute crisis intervention strategies and support staff during complex clinical situations
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Valid Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years psychiatric Registered Nurse experience
- At least 1 year supervisory experience with direct reports
- 1 year emergency room or triage experience
- Ability to work day or night 13-hour shifts
- Strong leadership and crisis intervention skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
