Position Summary
As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What You'll DoBe a Team Member:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicating effectively and developing interpersonal skills for providing customer service while being flexible to the needs of the business. Track goods, maintain in‑stock levels and control shrinkage.
Be an Expert:
Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and back‑room operations. Process meat according to specifications—cutting, slicing, grinding and wrapping—ensuring compliance with food‑safety standards, sanitation guidelines and inventory management. Operate, maintain and sanitize equipment.
Be a Techie:
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality with the member in mind. Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
Be an Owner:
Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence. Plan for profitability, maintain a work area according to company policies and procedures, and ensure quality and standards for high‑volume meat products. Eliminate waste, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labelled and stored.
Be a Talent Ambassador:
Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high‑quality service and products. Execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality, interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them to perform job‑related duties as assigned.
Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy.
Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources. Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines and expectations. Carry out tasks, communicate progress and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities as well as adapt to and learn from change difficulties and feedback.
