$13.00 to $24.50 per hour.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of 6+ months of store management experience. The trainee will be accountable for day‑to‑day store operations, promote a positive and productive environment, partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.

This role also involves analyzing store financial statements, committing to the company’s asset protection program, promoting the business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. The trainee is responsible for working with a wide variety of products, including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and firearms in FFL locations.

Pay includes an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‑setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain loan value and integrity.
  • Complete assigned training tasks for self‑development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, as required by law.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • Potential to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Will work 45+ hours a week; hours are based on business needs and not guaranteed.
