PositionFront of House Counselor
Compensation- $12/hr
- Semi-monthly payment. Direct deposit required.
- We offer Full Time and Part Time
Hourly position. Must be able to work flexible schedule - Camps is open 7 days/week, 5:50am to 8:00pm, weekends and holidays are required, but time off is permitted with 2 weeks advance notice.
About the JobThe Front/Back of House Counselor will assist with animal care, data entry, scheduling and confirming appointments/reservations, greeting all pet parents and dogs, maintaining Top Dog logs, selling baths/packages/trainings, administrative task of filing/client information/answering pet parent questions via phone and in person, cleaning, preparing dog meals and providing excellent customer service.
Primary Responsibilities- Greeting all pet parents and dogs.
- Checking in and out dogs.
- Front desk administrative duties of data entry, computer maintenance, phone calls, filing and updating client information.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments and reservations.
- Promote and sell baths, day care and boarding packages and training sessions.
- Manage 2-3 people at one time.
- Cleaning throughout front and back areas.
- Maintain a safe environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Be always active and attentive to dogs and pet parents.
- Ensure thorough and proper cleaning of back of camp.
- Ensure cabins/suites are deep cleaned and spot cleaned correctly, and perform cleaning as needed.
- When boarders are out, ensure all cabins/suites cleaned if any mess and well organized.
- Assist with new camper interviews.
- Run check in and out dogs.
- Ensure BOH checklist is completed and shift huddles are done every day.
- Ensure quality of performance with all BOH Operations including medications/feeding/food logs/cleanliness, etc.
- Other duties as determined important to the operations of Camp Bow Wow Pearland, TX by the Franchise Owner.
- Extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills.
- Must love dogs - noise, hair, messes, smiles.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 21 years or older.
- Be able to lift dog food and supplies.
- Constantly walk and/or stand entire shift.
- Must have previous experience with customer service.
- Available to answer the phone and text messages at all times.
- Ability to build client relationships.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong face-to-face customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency.
- Must possess excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.
- Working knowledge of basic web-based software and computer skills.
- Effective collaborative skills, performing comfortably in group settings.
- You must have your own reliable transportation.
- You must not be allergic to animals.
