Job Title
PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
Under the direct supervision of the MEP supervisor. Provide assistance to the craftsman in the productive and effective daily operations of the department.
Education:
High school diploma/GED
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Ability to maintain valid Texas driver's license
- Knowledge of basic tools and equipment
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to work without direct supervision
Criminal history check
Experience:
- Interest in maintenance trade
- Must have mechanical aptitude

Small hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools; light truck or van

Lifting:
Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis
Environment:
Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, vibration, and electrical hazards; work around machinery with moving parts; may work alone; regularly work irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours; frequent district wide travel
