Maintenance Plumber
PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
Help maintain the physical school buildings in a condition of operating efficiency so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Journeyman License (or be capable of obtaining a license within six weeks of employment)
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to maintain valid Texas driver's license
Must be able to pass criminal history and MVR driving record check
Knowledge and skills to maintain plumbing needs of school district
Knowledge and skills to maintain kitchen equipment of school district
Capable of understanding plans, prints, specifications and schematics associated with the trade
Thorough knowledge of the use of special tools and equipment required by the trade
Ability to communicate in English
Experience:
Three years plumber experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
Working around kitchen equipment, gas lines, water lines, and energized equipment requires constant concentration.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Standing and walking; bending, crawling, stooping; heavy 20-30 pounds lifting; kneeling, pushing and pulling many times per day; exposure to extreme temperatures working outside and inside; exposed to all kinds of weather working
