Heavy Equipment Rental Company is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined individual who is eager to build a long‑term career in the heavy equipment industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and learning from experienced technicians.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic
, you will work alongside senior mechanics and master technicians to develop the skills necessary to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of heavy construction equipment. We are looking for individuals who are hardworking, dependable, and genuinely passionate about becoming elite heavy equipment mechanics.

Whether your experience comes from trade school, construction equipment, farming, ranching, military service, or years of working on your own equipment, we encourage you to apply if you have a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.

What You’ll Do:
  • Assist experienced mechanics with inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment.
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel engine systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including fluid changes, lubrication, filters, and scheduled service work.
  • Assist with component replacements such as engines, transmissions, axles, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors.
  • Learn proper welding, fabrication, and repair techniques as needed.
  • Utilize service manuals, schematics, diagnostic software, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Properly use shop tools, lifting equipment, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
  • Continue developing technical skills through on‑the‑job training and mentorship.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 2 to 5 years of mechanical experience working on heavy equipment, diesel equipment, agricultural equipment, or construction equipment.
  • Completion of a diesel technology or heavy equipment technician program is preferred but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a genuine desire to learn.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take direction from experienced technicians.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and think critically.
  • Comfortable working in both shop and field environments.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
