The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a
full-time Utilities Maintenance Worker
- Right of Way to help improve aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Engineering & Public Works Department.

The Utilities Maintenance Worker earns a competitive salary of$18.86 - $20.41 /hourlybased on qualifications. Additionally, the
city pays all premiums for our employees'dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium

Job Summary
Essential Functions:
- Repairs and maintains equipment such as mowers, tractors, weed eaters, trimmers, chainsaws, and trailers.
- Clean and maintain shop area
- Maintains rights of way along with public and City owned property by mulching, mowing, edging, leveling/grading, repairing fencing, removing trash, planting and fertilizing seeds and grass, and chemical weed control.
- Performs tree trimming and removal services
- Repairs and maintains irrigation systems
- Provides landscape installation and maintains flowerbeds.
- Available to support other service areas on repairs water leaks and main breaks; performs repairs on sewer lines and new installs.
- Builds traffic control work zones and puts out traffic control devices for traffic safety.
- Checks equipment; performs maintenance on landscape equipment.
- Completes needed maintenance to keep properties compliance with City Ordinance & Codes
- Operates medium and heavy equipment; operates hand and electric tools.
- Responds to customer complaint calls and work orders.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Requires three months grounds maintenance or closely related experience.
- Valid, Class C driver's license
