Role Description - The Electrical Service Technician Manager – Welding Equipment is a full-time, on-site role based in Pearland, TX. Duties include overseeing production teams and repair technicians, manages equipment maintenance operations, and ensures customer satisfaction. Key duties include managing daily production and service workflow, supervising technical staff, and optimizing parts inventory.
Key Responsibilties
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including hands‑on experience with electrical welding equipment and related components.
- Customer Service
- Manage customer communications regarding repair scopes, estimates, and timelines, alongside handling warranty claims. Handle customer inquiries and resolve service complaints. - Operations & Repairs
- Oversee diagnostic, preventative maintenance, and repair operations for welding - Operations & Quality Control
- Oversee diagnostics and preventative maintenance on welding and cutting equipment, ensuring all work meets safety and performance standards. - Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Submerged Arc, Plasma) and familiarity with welding power sources and control systems.
- Inventory Control
- Partner with the parts department to manage stock levels and order components required for machine overhauls and production. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to prioritize multiple service requests in a fast‑paced environment.
- Safety & Compliance:
Enforce shop safety protocols and maintain accurate service logs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience diagnosing and repairing industrial electrical/mechanical equipment, specifically welding power sources and wire feeders with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and basic computer/software literacy. - Technical Leadership
Experience:
Previous background supervising, technicians, or production shop staff. - Knowledge:
Deep understanding of MIG, TIG, and stick industrial welding machines and associated electrical systems.
Education:
High school diploma required; technical degree or certification in electrical/mechanical repair preferred. Certification from welding machine manufacturer preferred.
