Site Safety Manager Data Center
IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, is seeking a full‑time Site Safety Manager - Data Center in Pecos, Texas.
Job Summary
- Provides safety leadership and technical support to operations and project teams, reports on safety performance.
- Advises Operations Team and Project Managers on company, contractual, and regulatory safety requirements during work planning.
- Reviews site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, and related documentation; escalates issues as needed to the Senior Safety Manager.
- Conducts regular job‑site audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensures safe work practices and jobsite conditions.
- Leads new hire and site‑specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings.
- Responds to reports of incidents and safety concerns; leads, conducts, and supports investigations and communicates findings with senior leadership as needed.
- Ensures compliance with company, customer, site, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards; verifies and maintains required documentation.
- Develops safety competencies, identification of strengths and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinates, facilitates, and tracks required safety training and maintains necessary safety certifications.
- Utilizes company safety systems and software to manage incidents, inspections, corrective actions, and training.
- Monitors subcontractor activities for compliance with company, customer, jobsite, and general contractor safety requirements.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- OSHA 30‑hour, OSHA 510, and First Aid/CPR certifications; CHST credential desired.
- 5‑7 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role.
- Prior experience as electrician highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.
- Proficient computer and communication (written, verbal) skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and field employees.
- Maintaining driving qualifications as required per IES Fleet Safety Program.
- Successfully pass pre‑employment (post‑offer) background check and MVR check.
