Airswift is looking for a Project Manager – Field Services to support a major client in Houston, TX or Odessa, TX on a 12-month contract Scheduler: 5/40. This opportunity is suited to an experienced construction professional with a strong background in industrial project delivery within the oil and gas sector. This position is focused on leading assigned projects through safe, efficient, and high-quality execution while supporting schedule, resource, and commercial objectives.
The role requires strong coordination across project teams and stakeholders, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding field environment.
- Lead assigned construction projects to achieve safety, quality, schedule, equipment, material, and cost objectives.
- Review project documentation with the project team and determine practical, cost‑effective construction methods and resource plans.
- Coordinate project activity with relevant stakeholders and support effective communication across construction teams.
- Manage project staff, including support personnel, superintendents, general foremen, and assistants.
- Monitor project costs against budgets and support regular reporting on labour, progress, forecasting, and overall performance.
- Support project completion through scheduling, expediting material deliveries, and managing document and material submittals.
- Lead project coordination meetings and contribute to closeout activities at the appropriate stage of delivery.
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout all stages of project execution.
- 5 to 10 years of experience managing large industrial mechanical, piping, structural, or civil construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of oil and gas industry experience, including at least 3 years in project management.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Construction or general business degree preferred.
- Estimating experience would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of project plans, specifications, drawings, submittals, and related construction documentation.
- Strong project controls capability, including cost forecasting, progress tracking, and scheduling using Microsoft Project or P6.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and teams effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain performance in a fast‑paced construction environment.
