The Renewables & Clean Power team has signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas‑fired power generation facilities in the U.S. The Lead Superintendent will support early‑stage development and prepare for full EPC delivery next year.
Job SummaryProvide onsite leadership for underground commodity installation activities, ensuring safe execution, technical compliance, and alignment with schedule and budget. Direct field superintendents and subcontractors, oversee daily operations, drive workforce planning, progress reporting, and cost/schedule performance. Resolve constructability issues, support scope development, and maintain quality and resource availability.
Major Responsibilities- Leadership / Supervision
- Lead and direct field supervision and subcontractor teams.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and coordination.
- Participate in the development of scopes, budgets, and contract negotiations.
- Conduct superintendent/subcontractor and foreman meetings for planning.
- Develop and monitor 3‑Week Look‑Ahead Schedule.
- Ensure all materials and resources are available for the schedule.
- Maintain daily site logs and review timesheets, quantity reports, and payment requests.
- Conduct daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and work‑plan reviews.
- Planning / Productivity
- Determine workforce requirements and coordinate operational plans.
- Prepare progress, crew, and expenditure forecasts.
- Participate in weekly cost and schedule reviews with senior management.
- Monitor tool, equipment usage and field material requisitions.
- Safety & Quality
- Ensure current design documents are used and changes are approved.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience delivering underground commodity installations as a Field Superintendent.
- Maintain a safe work ethic and environment for craft and professional staff.
- Interpret engineering and vendor documents with construction field engineers, foremen, and craft professionals.
- Effective communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills.
- Oversee engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
- Coordinate with design on constructability issues.
- Understand industry/international codes and standards applicable to the work scope.
- Experience with applicable automation software and processes.
- Competence in supervising heavy‑lift activities.
