In this role, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and execution of commissioning activities across an assigned campus or portfolio of related projects. You will provide direct leadership to Commissioning Managers and maintain overall accountability for campus-wide commissioning strategy, staffing, quality, safety, schedule, startup sequencing, and successful operational turnover. You will also serve as the primary commissioning leader for campus operations, ensuring consistent execution across multiple buildings while maintaining strong relationships with clients, construction leadership, design teams, and trade partners.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for all commissioning activities across assigned campus projects, ensuring successful execution of quality, safety, schedule, and operational turnover objectives.
  • Maintain overall accountability for commissioning execution across multiple buildings or project phases within an assigned campus.
  • Directly lead, coach, mentor, and develop Commissioning Managers while providing guidance and support to all Commissioning Technical Leads assigned to the campus.
  • Develop campus-wide commissioning strategies, startup sequencing, turnover plans, and resource allocation to support construction milestones and owner occupancy.
  • Serve as the primary commissioning representative for campus leadership, owners, construction executives, design teams, and key project stakeholders.
  • Provide executive oversight of commissioning schedules across multiple buildings, proactively identifying risks, resource constraints, and schedule conflicts while implementing recovery plans when necessary.
  • Ensure consistency in commissioning execution, documentation, startup procedures, functional testing, and turnover processes across all assigned projects.
  • Lead campus commissioning coordination meetings with construction leadership, subcontractors, OEM representatives, design consultants, operations personnel, and commissioning teams.
  • Oversee staffing assignments across multiple projects, balancing personnel resources to meet project priorities and operational demands.
  • Provide leadership during major startup events, integrated systems testing, utility energizations, owner demonstrations, and operational turnover activities.
  • Review and approve commissioning execution plans, startup strategies, readiness assessments, turnover documentation, and major project deliverables prepared by Commissioning Managers.
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, contractual, staffing, and client issues that impact multiple buildings or campus operations.
  • Conduct routine field assessments to verify commissioning quality, safety performance, schedule compliance, and adherence to Haskell commissioning standards.
  • Ensure commissioning activities comply with project specifications, owner requirements, contractual obligations, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with Construction, Engineering, Controls, Quality, Safety, and Operations leadership to ensure campus-wide alignment throughout commissioning and turnover.
  • Monitor commissioning performance metrics, staffing utilization, project progress, and client satisfaction across all assigned projects.
  • Support business development by assisting with client relationships, project pursuits, commissioning planning, and proposal development for future campus opportunities.
  • Document and implement lessons learned, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned campus projects.
