Pecos High School serves as the flagship campus for the Pecos-Barstow Toyah Independent School District, educating over 800 students in the rural West Texas community of Pecos. Description/Notes: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to build one of the top Ag Science Programs in the state.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Teaching Level I Ag Science courses
• Managing the animal project facility
• Training LDE/CDE teams
• Sponsoring students at all major stock shows, county shows and summer shows
• Creating and maintaining a successful show team through stock‑show industry experience

Qualifications:

• Education/Certification:
  
  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
• Experience:
  
  Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience

Salary Range: Refer to the district website for the teacher pay scale.
