The Rapid Growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers requiring large reliable sources of energy. In response to this trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team has signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas-fired power generation facilities in the U.S. This position is contingent upon project award.
Job Summary:As the Workface Planner (AWP) & Turnover Coordinator for the installation of multiple General Electric 7HA Simple Cycle power generating systems, you will be part of the Field Engineering team reporting to the Area Project Field Engineer. You will lead construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and data requirements, review performance, and recommend adjustments to tailor solutions to support strategy and compliance.
Major Responsibilities:- Maintain Level 4 IWP (Integrated Work Package) Schedule and Interdisciplinary Logics of IWPs with Project Controls function.
- Maintain material Required on Site (ROS) Dates based on changes to Level 4 IWP Schedule.
- Conduct inter-disciplinary 3D model reviews and develop 4D storyboards to refine the 90-day plan.
- Manage Level 4 IWP schedule to Level 3 IWP Schedule alignment with Project Controls function.
- Manage Level 4 IWP Schedule information across BSAP’s (Primavera P6 and Teamworks).
- Administer guidelines for Discipline Workface planners on how they will interact with the Level 4 IWP Schedule.
- Identify gaps in IWP planning and proactively seek collaboration across project EPC organizations.
- Assist with project process implementation and updates.
- Onboard area workface planners.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-12 years of relevant experience.
Skills:
- Possess an in-depth understanding of Advanced Work packaging concepts and terminology.
- Possess knowledge of and prior experience working with a variety of software tools and database applications—including Primavera, Synchro4D, Navisworks, Model Builder, Book Builder, Teamworks, Setroute and Xfighter.
- Previous experience in Engineering, Startup, Field Engineering or Project Controls is beneficial.
- Coordinate across disciplines and functions both peer-to-peer and vertically to develop execution strategies.
- Communicate execution plans and strategies to project and site management, stakeholders and customer personnel where appropriate.
- Summarize large amounts of project data into clear and concise reports to interface with personnel of varying backgrounds and skill sets.
- Think “outside the box” to assist in resolving challenges and roadblocks.
