Project Overview

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. Our team is helping the customer progress early‑stage development that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery next year.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Project HR Manager, this site based HR role delivers end‑to‑end HR support on Project Kilby in Pecos, Texas. The HR Representative mobilizes directly to the project on a long‑term (camp) assignment with a 6 weeks on 2 weeks off roster. Responsibilities include core people processes, maintaining high‑quality HR data, operational support for employee relations, performance management, and compliance, coordination of employee engagement initiatives, and driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement assigned project HR activities and programs; execute staffing initiatives, employee engagement, training and development, and visa management.
  • Model and instill the culture and organizational values within the project.
  • Prepare offers and manage onboarding for staffing needs on project.
  • Independently manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Aid in identifying training and development opportunities.
  • Provide guidance on policy interpretation and labor law.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations concerns and support investigations.
  • Analyze HR data and recommend adjustments to improve compliance or workforce planning.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in a site‑based HR role, ideally within the engineering or construction industries, highly regarded.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Well‑developed communications skills and ability to build sustainable and collaborative relationships with stakeholders in a challenging environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment with diverse workforce dynamics.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
