Mechanic, Maintenance​/Cleaning

The Mechanic 1 is an entry‑level technician responsible for utilizing mechanical training to contribute to fleet maintenance operations, keeping Gravity’s equipment on the rental “ready line.” The role involves familiarizing with product knowledge, standards of quality, and learning standard operating procedures at local, regional, and national levels to grow your career.

• Works with ethics, honesty, values, and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
• Follows a consistent schedule of performing preventative maintenance of all Gravity‑owned fleet.
• Operates and tests equipment to ensure it passes Gravity quality and efficiency standards.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs, such as oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services on small fleet equipment and trucks under direct supervision.
• Diagnoses rental equipment with assistance from senior mechanics.
• Performs major repairs and assorted parts replacements to maintain fleet equipment using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments under direct supervision.
• Enters work orders via fleet management system.
• Maintains work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Completes all monthly safety and equipment‑related trainings.
• Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
