Data Center Operations I Manager provides direct supervision to professional contributors and/or skilled support to individual contributors. They act as a guide to site operations teams, vendors, and contractors and may become actively involved, as required, to meet operational standards, project schedules, and resolve problems. The manager creates a culture of professionalism and operational excellence, fostering a workplace where people love to work and build a career.
Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision to the HPC Data Center Technicians, overall data center supervision, and routine operational plans.
- Ensure the team fulfills responsibilities on time and projects progress as expected.
- Manage payroll, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching, and development.
- Assist with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance.
- Plan, coordinate, budget, and implement resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center.
- Meet targets typically against a monthly plan.
- Assist with new construction commissioning, document and report all problems.
- Communicate and coordinate activities and on‑site staff during an incident.
- Foster open, respectful, and professional communication within the team and with co‑workers/teammates and leaders across the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible data center‑related experience is required.
- 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Strong leadership and team‑building skills are required.
- Exceptional understanding of network, electrical, mechanical, and building systems is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Working knowledge of HPC computer equipment and network infrastructure is required.
- An advanced degree is preferred.

TravelOccasional travel between data centers may be required as needed.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office, warehouse, and data center environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time, onsite position. Some nights and weekends may be required.
